PASDEL Workshop: ‘Promoting E-Learning for Sustainable Development'
28th and 29th May 2008 / Freiburg, Germany
In cooperation with the Centre for Renewable Energy, Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg
Organized by the partnership of the PASDEL project (see below), the workshop ‘Promoting E-Learning for Sustainable Development' has invited Experts from various disciplines to share their knowledge and experiences on the following points of interest:
• Increasing take-up: how can e-learning better contribute to raising awareness and spreading information on sustainable development issues?
• Meeting learners’ preferences: how can e-learning courses be tailored to be attractive and useful for different target groups and their institutional or organisational contexts?
• Ensuring economic viability: what is the necessary cost-benefit ratio of providing training by electronic means to meet both learners’ willingness to pay and providers’ economic ability to maintain the courses?
The invited experts were representatives of other relevant e-learning projects part-financed by the Leonardo da Vinci Programme as well as from potential users of the modules developed by the PASDEL partnership.
These modules focus on sustainability issues in the following areas: Local Agenda 21, green architecture, transport, waste management, and activities in the private sector. Main target groups are public authorities, enterprises and universities
